Forget the Problem

Ava curled inside her blanket. Oh no! Not now! She's screaming inside her mind. She still want to hit the pillow for hours but her alarm clock continuously snoozing, wanted her to get up. Peeping her eyes through the window, it is still dark.
“Why did I alarm this so early?” A rush of disappointment ran her system. For two days, she hasn't caught up a nice sleep. Yes, that was unlike of her. She never acted like this before. No one disturbed her the way it does now.
As she shut her eyes again, to go back to sleep, her cell phone rings. Her friend, Briana, is calling.
“Brei, it's too early to call,” she said gruffly.
“Ava!” She is sure that Briana's eyes are rolling ceiling ward on the other line. “Have you forgotten? We have talked yesterday to go to shopping today. Oh my! Gather some wits in your sleepy head!” She heard Briana groaned inwardly.
She bit her lower lip. Yes. They've planned to get out the whole day – to forget her problems. Needless to say, Briana is one of her closest friends who's always with her side when problems came rushing in her system.
“Yeah, I forgot about it. I'm sorry,” she said apologetically. “Give me 30 minutes and I'll be ready.” When she hung up the phone, she fixed her bed and went straight to the bathroom. After 25 minutes, Ava is ready! She skipped the early breakfast. She quietly passed her parents' bedroom and opened the main door.
She shivered as the cool breeze of the morning envelops her. She saw Briana's car outside the gate and motioning her to get in the car.
“You're just in time,” Briana said, glancing at her and start the engine. She curled in the passenger seat. Her jacket is too thin to protect her from the cold weather.
“I forgot to bring a thicker jacket,” Ava said while her eyes are roaming outside the window. The sight is good in the morning. Briana is right to go out this early, to make her realize that instead of letting herself in pain, there are still other things to look forward to.
